Until quite recently, Mount Holyoke would send along a little freshman handbook to incoming students the summer before their arrival.  This handbook for the class of 1935 was written by the class of 1933 (their sister class) as a guide to everything one would need to know to orient themselves to the community.  Take a look and let us know what you think!  It appears that the women in the 30s had much more involved social lives.  I think the singing sounds like a lot of fun!

This booklet, along with (TONS) of other freshman handbooks, is from the MHC Archives and Special Collections.  If you’d like to see it in person or are interested in checking out some of our other treasures, stop by!  We’re located in the basement of Dwight and open M-F, 9-noon, 1-4:30.
